How Propel Took Shape
Propel Technology is led by partners James Bishop and Stan Dickson, whose backgrounds bring technical problem-solving and practical business experience together. James has worked as an IT consultant for small and midsize businesses since 2013, developing creative solutions grounded in how each organization operates. He has been the person family, friends, and coworkers call for technology help since building his first computer at age 12.
Stan is both a lawyer and a CPA, as well as an experienced business owner. His perspective helps keep technology decisions connected to budgets, operational realities, regulatory concerns, and long-term goals. Together, James and Stan have shaped Propel around a straightforward idea: IT support should account for the business, not just the devices.
That approach matters because many organizations come to Propel after dealing with slow responses, unclear recommendations, recurring technical problems, or confusion about cybersecurity and regulatory requirements. We take time to understand what already works, where technology creates friction, and what needs to change.
